About Me

Meet Lianne Birk, LSWAIC

I am a Clinical Social Worker Associate and I earned my Master’s Degree in Social Work from California State University – Northridge. Prior to becoming a therapist, I spent fifteen years working as a registered nurse (RN).

My Specialties & Approach

I am passionate about supporting fellow nurses and healthcare providers as well as individuals managing anxiety. I especially love supporting young adults. I work with young adults who are navigating the unique challenges of major life transitions, career shifts, anxiety, or discovering their identity. Additionally, I welcome all types of couples and partnerships who are working through relationship distress and seeking to reconnect.

My approach is also deeply informed by my experience as an RN specializing in gastroenterology; this unique background allows me to offer a holistic lens and specialized support for clients living with Disorders of Gut-Brain Interaction (DGBI).

Using a client-centered, strengths-based approach, I tailor our sessions to your unique story. Together, we will develop meaningful goals and interventions that truly resonate with you.

Beyond the Therapy Room

I am a proud Seattleite with a deep-rooted love for our beautiful state. For my own wellness and restoration, I turn to nature and connection. You will often find me open-water swimming, running, or hiking through Washington's incredible landscapes. I also love traveling, while always returning home to spend time with family and friends.
